I was the small-town girl who married her middle school sweetheart.

Jon worked crazy hours at a bank and I stayed home with four kids. Fourteen years into our marriage it imploded. We saw it as an opportunity for healing.

In January of 2011, my husband and I packed up our 4 kids, dog, cat, and fish named Turtle in an RV.

I blogged and painted on picnic tables along the way. The one-year adventure led to…well, you will just have to read about it!

Art Inspiration

Artist Statement

Inspiration for my art originated from the lakes and forests I explored as a child in Northern Minnesota.
As I travel the world, I cherish memories of adventures near the water with my family from exploring the hot springs in National Parks to paddling in a canoe in the Panama Canal.

Water is about connection.

Water connects us in our humanity across the globe no matter our race, ethnicity, beliefs, or differences.
Water connects us to a sense of calm and creativity.
Water connects me to the reality that life is in continuous motion, as water is ever-changing it encourages me to continue to change and grow.

My artwork is about bringing the inspiration of nature to you and your home.
